Hello there my darling dears!
I just wanted to post some pictures from our attempt at making our little balcony a tiny bit prettier. Some SPICE, one might say

I’m going to be REAL honest. Our balcony looks over a fucking empty lot of dirt, so it needs all the help it can get. Daniel and I are also living on SEVERE BUDGETS, so we put our heads together and thought “where do poor people shop?”. The answer my friends is the dollar store. We headed over and found these cheap plastic pots and spray painted them white. We also were finally able to put these cute floral buckets to use. We got them from IKEA a couple months ago, and they had been collecting dust ever since. Our balcony still needs a lot of work, even after these improvements. It’s getting there though eh!? I was also thinking about getting some outdoor tile to put down. Does anybody know where I can find some?

Spray paint hides a multitude of sins, and ain’t nothin’ wrong with Dollarama, honey! Style at Home features stuff from there all the time.

I have the ikea tiles for my deck reno ! They also have similar ones at CanTire, but the ikea ones are cheaper and look pretty good actually. It can be a bit of an investment to cover your whole patio, but they can be taken apart and transported easily so if you ever move you can take them with you, and of course store them for winter. Because they’re real wood, you can just stain them when they start to look a little dull !
I just died laughing. And you know – that is something sweet looking cheap ass SPICE! I approve!!

my deck overlooks a parking lot where people route thru the garbage bins and hop over fences….oh and Fenwick Tower is the REAL view! HAHA! Ugh. I think I dressed mine up pretty nicely though. Good work! You got hens and chicks that’s where its at!!!

Looks good, even if your view is less than to be desired. For tiles, check out a Restore. There might not be amazing selection, and you may have no luck at all, but if you do find something, the price is worth it.
